ABOUT ME
Some would say that Jamin was born with a baseball in his hand. From the moment he could walk, the game was part of his DNA. He began playing t-ball at the age of four and has never missed a spring, summer, or fall season since. Growing up in Lakewood, Colorado, Jamin was the type of kid who never had to be told to practice—he wanted to. Whether it was a crisp morning or a cool evening, you could find him in the backyard, grinding away for hours in the hitting/pitching tunnel his family built for him.
Much of Jamin’s early development was shaped by his father, Jake Patterson, a former collegiate All-American and minor-league player. Jake played at Neosho County Community College and was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 31st round of the 1993 MLB June Amateur Draft. With Jake as his coach of many years and his mentor, Jamin grew up learning the game from someone who had truly lived it. His father’s experience at the collegiate and professional levels helped Jamin build a foundation rooted in mechanics, strategy, discipline, and most importantly, a love for the game.
Jamin’s natural talent and relentless work ethic quickly set him apart. By the time he entered Bear Creek High School, he was already a standout, earning a spot on the varsity roster as a freshman. Over the course of his high school career, he proved himself not only as a dominant right-handed pitcher but also as a reliable third baseman and leader on the field.
As a sophomore in 2023, Jamin was named Honorable Mention All-Conference in the highly competitive 5A Jefferson County League. He followed that up with a breakout junior season in 2024, where he earned Second Team All-Conference honors and was voted Team MVP by his coaches. He consistently led the team in innings pitched, strikeouts, and defensive highlights at the hot corner.
Now in his senior year, Jamin continues to deliver clutch performances. On April 12, 2025, he pitched over six innings without allowing an earned run in a 4–3 win over powerhouse Ralston Valley, helping cement his reputation as a reliable and composed presence under pressure.
Beyond high school, Jamin has played for the Colorado Rockies Scout Team for several seasons and competed in top-tier tournaments around the country. He has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Neosho County Community College—the same place where his father’s journey took flight—bringing the Patterson legacy full circle.
At 5'11" and 200 pounds, Jamin is known for his explosive fastball, sharp breaking ball, and fearless approach on the mound. But more than stats, it’s his leadership, humility, and relentless drive that define him. Whether it's extra reps after practice, mentoring younger teammates, or showing up early with a purpose, Jamin leads by example.
As he takes the next step into collegiate baseball, there’s no doubt that Jamin has both the tools and the mindset to make a lasting impact. His journey is just beginning—but he’s already proven he knows how to put in the work, honor the game, and carry forward a family legacy built on passion, perseverance, and performance.
"I am eager to elevate my game at Neosho County Community College under the guidance of Coaches Murray and Gilner. My commitment to personal and team growth makes me a coachable player, and I truly believe that with the right coaching staff behind me, I can reach incredible heights both physically and mentally. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and ready to take my skills to the next level. "
